This nationally recognised qualification provides the practical skills and knowledge needed to deliver a wide range of beauty treatments, including nail services, makeup application, waxing, lash and brow services, and client consultation. You will learn to provide high-quality services in a professional setting, develop strong customer service skills, and gain the confidence to work in beauty salons, spas, or even start your own business. Graduates of this program are prepared to enter the industry with the expertise to meet client needs and excel in a fast-growing, creative, and rewarding field.

  • Upon successful completion of all units of competency for this qualification, the student will be awarded SHB30121 Certificate III in Beauty Services.

  • This qualification will provide you a pathway to work as Beauty Therapist, Makeup Artist, Beauty Consultant, Spa Therapist, Waxing Specialist, Manicurist/Pedicurist, Cosmetic Retailer, or Beauty Salon Assistant.

This qualification is currently being considered for accreditation by the Australian Community Workers Association (ACWA), the professional body for qualified community workers in Australia.
Students are required to have:
  • A good ability to read, write and speak English
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Able to obtain a National Police Clearance
  • Strong communication skills with diverse individuals

This course includes a 120-hour work placement in a beauty salon or spa, giving learners the chance to practice and demonstrate their skills in line with industry standards and competency requirements.
Education pathways after completing SHB30121 Certificate III in Beauty Services may include:
  • SHB40121 Certificate IV in Beauty Therapy
  • SHB40221 Certificate IV in Hairdressing
  • SHB50121 Diploma of Beauty Therapy
  • SHB50216 Diploma of Salon Management
If you are a new enrolling student, undertaking Nationally recognized training, you will need a USI number to receive your Qualification/Statement of Attainment. If you do not have a USI you will not be able to receive a qualification. To create a USI account, go to the website: www.usi.gov.au

Fee-for-Service Programs:
Students enrolled in fee-for-service courses can make payments in agreed amounts over a set period. Please note, we do not accept single payments exceeding $1500. Payment options will be discussed based on your individual circumstances.
