Important Note: Completion of this course is not guaranteed and is subject to students successfully meeting all training, assessment, attendance, work placement (where applicable), and course requirements. Students who do not complete all requirements may be eligible to receive a Statement of Attainment (SOA) for successfully completed units of competency. Employment, licensing, registration, or specific career outcomes are not guaranteed upon course completion.

Training Calendar

It is planned that a student will complete all 15 units of competency within 52 weeks.

  • delivered over 36 weeks of classroom-based training and assessment
  • 16 weeks school break
  • 20 hours of face-to-face study per week

There is no formally prescribed course entry requirement for this qualification. However, Signature Training College does require the following to satisfy the entry criteria:
  • Student should be 18 years of age or over
  • Completed year 12 (HSC or Equivalent)
  • Have sound communication skills:
  • Provide IELTS certificate showing a score of 6 or above (or equivalent)
  • Undertake and successfully complete Signature Training College Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital (LLND) skills assessment
  • Be able to satisfactorily participate in pre-enrolment interview
  • Complete a pre-enrolment assessment and interview
  • Meet course-specific requirements (e.g. police checks, Working With Children Check, vaccinations, physical capability where applicable)
  • Meet work placement requirements, if applicable
  • Satisfy the Genuine Student (GS) requirement
  • Hold a valid student visa and maintain OSHC
