This Unit of Competency is established to fulfill the requirements of educators and childcare providers, as well as parents, grandparents, and other family members who want to refresh their knowledge of emergency first aid for common child injuries and illnesses.

  • Upon successful completion of all units of competency for this qualification, the student will be awarded HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an education and care setting.

Signature Training College is registered with and accredited by the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) and is authorised to deliver Nationally Recognized Training within the Australian Qualifications Framework.
Students are required to:
  • A proficient level of English is required, however your English level will be assessed on application. 
  • If you are undertaking training with us, please advise staff prior if you have problems with your back and knees or general mobility. First aid will require you to participate in physical activity which may aggregate existing injuries. 
Candidates must bring one form of original photo ID on the day of the course (passport, Australian Drivers License or RTA Proof of Age Card).
If you are a new enrolling student, undertaking Nationally recognized training, you will need a USI number to receive your Qualification/Statement of Attainment. If you do not have a USI you will not be able to receive a qualification. To create a USI account, go to the website: www.usi.gov.au
