Get qualified and gain the skills to operate as an educational leader, supervisor, or manager in childcare with the nationally accredited Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care. This is the ideal qualification for those wishing to lead an education and care program for children before they enter formal schooling. 
A Diploma further enables you to implement, and manage education and care programs, and supervise staff and volunteers. Students will also gain entry level management knowledge and skills that let you oversee the early childhood education and care service.
  • Upon successful completion of all units of competency for this qualification, the student will be awarded CHC50125 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care​

  • This qualification will provide you a pathway to work as  Playgroup Supervisor, Early childhood educator, Lead educator, Early childhood supervisor, Early childhood manager.

Accreditation

Signature Training College is registered with and accredited by the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) and is authorised to deliver Nationally Recognised Training within the Australian Qualifications Framework.
Students are required to:
  • A good ability to read, write and speak English
  • Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance Certificate and Work with Children Check; 
  • Ability to work and communicate respectfully with background from different national backgrounds;
  • Entry to this qualification is open to individuals who hold:
    • CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care

    OR

    • CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.

       

      Alternatively, individuals may hold:

      • An Australian diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care

      OR

      • An Australian diploma or certificate III in Children’s Services.

      AND

      • Demonstrate at least 12 months of cumulative employment (full-time equivalent) within the last 5 years in a regulated education and care service in Australia, supported by verifiable evidence.

      OR

      • Hold the CHCSS00147 Entry into Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care.

Students are required to complete 280 hours of work placement in a regulated Early Childhood Education and Care facility where you will work as a volunteer student during work-placement.

Some universities offer credit from the Diploma qualification to enrol in Early Childhood teaching qualifications. Alternatively, the CHC60215 Advanced Diploma of Community Sector Management is a great qualification for those aiming to hold a management position in an ACECQA approved service.
If you are a new enrolling student, undertaking Nationally recognized training, you will need a USI number to receive your Qualification/Statement of Attainment. If you do not have a USI you will not be able to receive a qualification. To create a USI account, go to the website: www.usi.gov.au

Fee-for-Service Programs:
Students enrolled in fee-for-service courses can make payments in agreed amounts over a set period. Please note, we do not accept single payments exceeding $1500. Payment options will be discussed based on your individual circumstances.

Government-Funded Programs:
