SG00009328 – Statement of Attainment Early Childhood Education and Care (Food Safety, WHS, and First-Aid in an Education and Care Settings) teaches students how to identify risks and conduct risk assessments in a variety of work environments, including daycare facilities, assisted living facilities, community services, public offices, and other businesses.

  • Upon successful completion of all units of competency for this qualification, the student will be awarded SG00009328 – Statement of Attainment Early Childhood Education and Care (Food Safety, WHS, and First-Aid in an Education and Care Settings).

Accreditation

Signature Training College is registered with and accredited by the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) and is authorised to deliver Nationally Recognized Training within the Australian Qualifications Framework.
You MUST meet all of the following:
  • 15 years old and over; AND
  • No longer at school; AND
  • Live OR work in NSW; AND
  • Australian OR New Zealand Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident OR a Humanitarian Visa Holder (International Students are not eligible).
AND meet ONE of the following:
  • Aged between 17-24 years old (regardless of employment status); OR
  • Centrelink benefit recipient; OR
  • Unemployed (you DO NOT have to be in receipt of any Commonwealth benefits or registered with Centrelink); OR
  • At risk of unemployment or expected to be unemployed** (see below definition).
**Definition of “at risk of unemployment”
  • Stood down/Jobkeeper/furloughed employee: employee who has been stood down or employee for whom employer has Jobkeeper arrangement in place and at risk of becoming unemployed.
  • Person returning to work (employed for 6 months or less): employed on condition of receiving training to build capacity and capability for the job role. This would be within the first 6 months of employment.
  • Low skilled/unskilled employee: existing employee, with or without relevant skills or previous qualification up to Certificate III, that requires training to upskill to secure ongoing employment or future employment.
  • Workers in declining industries: workers at any company in an agreed declining industry who require upskilling/reskilling for redeployment.
  • HLTAID012 - Provide First Aid in an education and care setting
  • HLTWHS001 - Participate in workplace health and safety
  • HLTFSE001 - Follow basic food safety practices
  • Assistant Educator in long day care, child care centres, occasional care
  • Assistant Educator in a Kindergarten or preschool program
  • Assistant Educator in occasional care
  • Family Day Care Educator
  • In Home Care Provider/nanny
  • Playgroup Supervisor
  • Other education based employers may accept this qualification, such as working as a tutor, education support staff or as a teacher aide.
Education pathways after completing the skill set may include:
  • CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care 
  • CHC50121 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care
  • CHC52015 Diploma of Community Services
If you are a new enrolling student, undertaking Nationally recognized training, you will need a USI number to receive your Qualification/Statement of Attainment. If you do not have a USI you will not be able to receive a qualification. To create a USI account, go to the website: www.usi.gov.au
