The Diploma for Mental Health is the formal qualification equipping workers to provide services to clients in relation to mental health issues. This course will train students to be able to provide counselling, referral, advocacy and education/health promotion services. The students in this course will be trained to have high level specialist knowledge, skills and competencies especially in regard to laws affecting people with mental health issues, the range of services available to them and health issues related to mental health.

  • Upon successful completion of all units of competency for this qualification, the student will be awarded CHC53315 Diploma of Mental Health.

  • This qualification will provide you a pathway to work as Community rehabilitation and support worker, Welfare support worker and Community rehabilitation worker

The students must complete at least 160 hours of work placement complete this component of the course
