Completing this course will provide you with a nationally accredited qualification at Diploma level paving your advanced pathway in the community services sector.

This Diploma of Community Services qualification is ideal for those seeking formal qualification in the roles of community services, case management and social housing workers involved in the managing, co-ordinating and/or delivering of person-centred services to individuals, groups and communities. At this level, workers have specialised skills in community services and work autonomously under broad directions from senior management. Workers are usually providing direct support to individuals or groups of individuals. Workers may also have responsibility for the supervision of other workers and volunteers and/or case management; program coordination or the development of new business opportunities.

To achieve this qualification, the candidate must have completed at least 100 hours of work as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of units of competency.

The Diploma in Community Services will expose students to better job opportunities in the roles such as:

All students are expected to comply with the eligibility requirements: 

  • A good ability to read, write and speak English
  • Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance Certificate and Work with Children Check; 
  • Ability to work and communicate respectfully with background from different national backgrounds; 
Student is provided upto 24 months to complete the course. Ongoing support is provided to all students to ensure they complete the course within a timely manner.

  • Existing workers are encouraged to apply for RPL.
