This qualification reflects the roles of community services, case management and social housing workers involved in the managing, co-ordinating and/or delivering of person-centred services to individuals, groups and communities. At this level, workers have specialised skills in community services and work autonomously under broad directions from senior management. Workers are usually providing direct support to individuals or groups of individuals. Workers may also have responsibility for the supervision of other workers and volunteers and/or case management, program coordination or the development of new business opportunities.

  • Upon successful completion of all units of competency for this qualification, the student will be awarded CHC52015 Diploma of Community Services .

  • This qualification will provide you a pathway to work as Community Care Manager, Care team leader, Family Services Coordinator, Support Facilitator (Community Service), Community Development Worker (Social Housing), Housing Manager, Family Support Worker, Welfare Support Worker, Senior Youth Worker and Intervention Worker

Training Calendar

It is planned that a student will complete all 16 units of competency within 78 weeks.

  • delivered over 54 weeks of classroom-based training and assessment
  • 24 weeks school break
  • 20 hours of face-to-face study per week

Accreditation

Signature Training College is registered with and accredited by the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) and is authorised to deliver Nationally Recognized Training within the Australian Qualifications Framework.
There is no formally prescribed course entry requirement for this qualification, however, the most common pathway into the program is after completion of CHC42015 Certificate IV in Community Services and more commonly will come from the existing workers.
  • Student should be 18 years of age or over
  • Completed year 12 (HSC or Equivalent)
  • Have sound communication skills:
  • Provide IELTS certificate showing a score of 5.5 or above (or equivalent)
  • Undertake and successfully complete Signature Training College Language Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) assessment
  • Be able to satisfactorily participate in preenrolment interview

There is a mandatory work placement requirement of 100 hours. Signature Training College has signed agreements in place with providers in the community sector.

Tuition Fee: $15,000
Enrolment Fee: $300 (Non-refundable)

Candidates must bring one form of original photo ID on the day of the course (passport, Australian Drivers License or RTA Proof of Age Card).
If you are a new enrolling student, undertaking Nationally recognized training, you will need a USI number to receive your Qualification/Statement of Attainment. If you do not have a USI you will not be able to receive a qualification. To create a USI account, go to the website: www.usi.gov.au
